Ketogenic lifestyle! Given how complex keto diet is, even I feel like a beginner as I learn something new about keto diet daily. I know it very well that ketogenic diet is very useful for weight loss or achieving your fitness goals. But, there is still a lot to learn about it. I don’t know whether you are convinced about it or you are just testing out stuff.
For me, both of these apply. I am very much convinced with the ketogenic diet and the fact that it helps in great weight loss but I am trying out different things in it so that I can learn more about this. On this topic, even a good amount of knowledge feels like you have no idea about the topic.

1. Say no to processed foods
What should be your reaction to processed foods- “cut it!”. Choosing real foods over processed foods is the first step towards a ketogenic lifestyle.
There are numerous benefits to eating vegetables, fruits, meat, non-homogenized dairy products, and whole grains. I don’t think I need to talk about their benefits. These are natural foods, thus making the ketogenic lifestyle a natural and effective way to lose weight. On the other hand, processed foods are loaded with sugar and carbohydrates and even preservatives.
2. Stay away from hidden carbs
You cut the bad carbs by prohibiting the popular carb-rich foods such as white rice but there are chances of getting them back with foods containing the hidden carbs. If something is chewable, coated, flavored, sweet then its best to avoid it. There are chances that it contains carbs, and most of the times it does contain it. Most of these processed foods. So as I have said before, the more natural your food is, the better is.
3. Go for high-fat foods
This is what actually keto lifestyle is. Munching on high-fat low carb foods. These high-fat foods will keep you full for longer. Eating good quality fat-rich foods such as avocados will keep your hunger pangs satisfied along with delivering the nutrients contained in it to your body. This is the magic of keto diets and it makes complete sense.
At some time, even I used to think that how the hell will adopting a fat rich food lifestyle help in losing weight. Fats are generally associated with weight gain. And here itself I went wrong. Keto diet involves a high fat and low carb diet. Obviously, here I am talking about healthy fats such as those found in avocados.
There are many other foods which contain healthy fats. These high-fat low carb foods cause a deficiency in carbohydrate in the body. This makes the body to burn fats for energy so that it can continue functioning properly.

4. What do you think about zoodles?
An alternative to the processed and not so healthy noodles! If you miss eating your favorite noodles, go for a healthy substitute. Replace your noodles with zoodles i.e noodles made from zucchini, carrot, butternut squash, and your other favorite veggies. 6. Don’t end your love for dessert
We all love dessert so much. But its unhealthy right? So, should you dump it when following a keto lifestyle for weight loss? I will say NO. Because I love desserts a lot just like anyone else. Fortunately, the keto diet has a lot of Keto desserts that are the best way to satisfy your sweet tooth.
You can also eat healthy desserts such as full-fat yogurt, frozen fruit, healthy desserts loaded with fruits and other keto friendly desserts. I guess keto isn’t that tough as you still get to munch on the desserts, though healthy ones. Haha.
7. Follow a meal plan
I think following a proper keto diet meal plan will be better so that you can stick to this diet and be consistent. It will also help you in being organized in terms of eating. Plan your meals to continue the habit of eating healthy and keeping away cravings for junk food.
